Watch: Bible Project Wisdom Series: Proverbs
It makes sense that if you do good things, you’ll get good things.
In what ways is this true in your life?
Watch: Bible Project Wisdom Series: Ecclesiastes
The critic tells us some hard truths: 1) Everything ends; 2) All people die, no matter how good or bad they are; and 3) Things happen randomly. But we have control over our response to the world: “You get what you get, so make the most of it.” Life can be challenging, and no one really deserves the best or the worst that life offers.
How do YOU live in a way that makes the most of your life?
Watch: Bible Project Wisdom Series: Job
Like the creation story of Adam and Eve in the garden with the snake, the story of Job is a tale about how to think about when bad things happen to good people. Because we’re not the first generation to wonder why. Job’s friends think he must have deserved the bad things for some reason. He must have sinned. But that’s not the answer. And Job wants God to answer for the bad things. And God give job perspective—but no actual answer.
If you were Job, what could God have said that would make all the bad things okay?
