OSLC AND THE ELCA
Our Saviour's Lutheran Church is a member of a national community of faith, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, in which we share a passion for participating in God's work in this world. Our faith is built around a strong belief in God made known to us in Jesus Christ.
Through worship, service, and education, we practice our faith, grow our relationship with God and experience God's grace in our lives. Our church is always being made new, but is deeply rooted in Scripture, Lutheran theology and Lutheran confessions. Through these roots, the Holy Spirit guides our journey to be a church that is both resilient and always new.

Located on 317 acres of rolling hills outside of Ashland, NE, Carol Joy Holling Camp, Conference & Retreat Center serves more than 1600 campers in the summer months and more than 20,000 retreat guests annually. As part of the Nebraska Lutheran Outdoor Ministries, the camp uses places set apart to live out faith in ways that show everyone they belong and are unconditionally loved by God.
The Nebraska Synod
Our regional expression of the ELCA covers most of the state of Nebraska. Synod ministries include cross-cultural congregations--Todos los hijos de Dios, United Asian Ministries, and Sudanese Lutheran ministries; service to the community through Mosaic, Lutheran Service Corps, and Bridges to Hope; and additional serving arms through the Nebraska Lutheran Outdoor Ministries, Nebraska Lutheran Campus Ministries, and Midland Lutheran College.
To find out more about how your financial gifts through Our Saviour's Lutheran Church impacts the ministries of the Nebraska Synod and the ELCA. OSLC commits 10% of our annual budget to the synod. What happens next is nothing short of a miracle!
OSLC has a special relationship with The Lutheran Center-UNL. As part of the Nebraska Lutheran Campus Ministry, The Lutheran Center serves the community alongside students, faculty, and staff at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. Students at the center are leaders, servants, and participants in worship and pastoral care across the campus and the Lincoln community. The mission of The Lutheran Center includes preparing leaders to be faithful witnesses to Christ's love in the world.
Reconciling Works
As of January, 2024, OSLC is officially a Reconciling in Christ congregation and a member of Reconciling Works. This means that we welcome and affirm ALL people (including LGBTQIA+ individuals, those who are Black, Indigenous, or People of Color, those who are differently abled, those who are or have been incarcerated, etc.). It also means we are open to offering weddings for LGBTQ+ folx, as well as calling pastors in relationships. Click on the image above to learn more about Reconciling Works.
