What do You Fear?

This year’s Advent and Christmas theme is “What Do You Fear? In a time of deep darkness, light shines. The image that pulls the season together is a lantern. Lanterns are used to light the way. They are also used to guide ships out of danger. And lanterns can be used to guide a wanderer home.

Like a lantern, hope guides us out of darkness and danger so that we might find our way home. May you experience light in dark places. May you BE light in dark places. May your hope never be extinguished.

The light shines in the darkness; and the darkness cannot overcome it!

Advent Elements to Bring Hope…

  • Online Devotional

From the First Sunday in Advent (Nov. 30) through Epiphany (Jan. 4), take a journey of hope in the midst of fear. This digital devotional supplements our worship this season. Hard copies are available at the church.

  • Advent Dinner Church

Join us Wednesday evenings for worship around the dinner table on December 3, 10, and 17. Come at 6:00pm to help set the tables and finish the meal prep. Dinner/worship begins at 6:30pm in the Fellowship Hall downstairs. We’ll commune together and share stories while we eat. We give thanks to Lindsey’s excellent food preparations! (Menu to come soon.)

  • Advent Festival

Get your ‘craft’ on at our annual Advent Festival! This year, we will have stations set up on Sundays after worship on November 30, December 7 & 14. We’ll have a hot chocolate bar, Christmas treats, and LOTS of opportunities to make fun Christmas ornaments and memories for the season.
