We can understand Jesus being fully God or Jesus being fully human. But 100% + 100% doesn’t add up quite right.

List some qualities of being human. List some qualities of being divine (God, or godly).

Read Philippians 2:5-9

Why might it matter that Jesus is both human and divine? 

This passage makes it clear that God chose to become fully human.

What does that choice tell us about God?

If you had divine power, what’s the first thing you would do with it? 

Choose at least one ‘element’ from the human side and one from the divine side of the table above. Read the passages that show that element in Jesus. 

What elements did you choose? How do those elements bring you comfort or give you hope?
